XXIst-Century Samarkand Embroidery: Tradition and Mastery

This article provides information about contemporary embroiderers of the Samarkand region and their creative activities. It presents an analysis of the manifestation of traditional elements in their works and highlights their artistic skills and craftsmanship. Interesting observations are made regarding the preservation of traditional embroidery techniques and their interpretation in modern artistic practice.
